This Colorado wildflower photo depicts seemingly never ending sunflower field during a dramatic purple sunset. This sunflower field was found on the eastern plains about 20 miles east of Denver International Airport. Timing is crucial in capturing sunflower fields because they are only in full bloom for about a week for each crop. I obtained this unique vantage point by scaling a 30 20 foot grain silo for a bird’s eye views of the rolling meadow of sunflowers.
