One of Colorado’s most iconic locations – The Crystal Mill. This image features the wooden power station built in the 1800’s, shot from a lower vantage point along the Crystal River. This century old landmark is found about 10 miles from the town of Marble and requires a heavily equipped 4×4 vehicle or an ATV to make it up rugged terrain where it is located in the tiny mountain town of Crystal. But oh baby is it worth it. This area pops during the peak fall colors and can be photographed from nearly every angle. In this view, I’ve incorporated the bubbling brook that leads up to the mill.
