A classic view of the Garden of the Gods park that features the famous red sandstone hogback formations and Colorado’s most popular 14er, Pikes Peak in the distance. This vintage point can be found by hiking up Rattlesnake Ridge which sits about 100 yards east of the hogbacks. Also visible in the frame is the Gateway Rock formation (left) and the Kissing Camels (upper right). This scene was capture minutes after sunlight which allowed the valley to get flooded just enough light to illuminate the entire scene. Click here to view the vertical crop of this image.
